Function1 Guidance was set up by Maria Faherty in 2011. Maria is a Teacher, Trainer and Guidance Counsellor with over a decade’s experience in the fields of Education, Training and Career Guidance. Maria uses a down-to-earth, simplistic approach to create a tailored, personalised and unique Career Guidance experience. This includes exploring the client’s interests, strengths, experiences and personal aspirations, in addition to their prior learning and qualifications to date. By listening intently and combining this information, Maria will guide the client to discover a career path they will enjoy, excel and thrive in.
The aim is to provide expert, professional and confidential Career Guidance to Leaving Certs, 3rd Level Students, Graduates, Professionals and Adult Learners. Function1 Guidance, based in Donegal, has a client base stretching the length and breadth of the North-West of Ireland. This includes counties Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Roscommon, Cavan & Monaghan .
Maria brings with her a distinguished set of qualifications and a wealth of experience in Education, Training and Guidance Counselling. These attributes are combined with a commitment and genuine interest to assist each client to make well-informed, educated decisions regarding their personal and professional future development.
Qualifications:
- Postgraduate Diploma in Career Guidance [University of Ulster]
- Postgraduate Diploma in Management in Education [Trinity College Dublin]
Accreditations:
- Member of the Institute of Guidance Counsellors (IGC)
- Registered with the Teaching Council of Ireland as a Post Primary Teacher
- Certificate of Competence in Occupational/Psychometric Testing Level A/Level B (British Psychological Society)
- ECDL Expert Certification
